There is a muse of chocolate

The Muse of Chocolate
"But you have no chocolate? My dear, how will you ever manage?"
- Marquise de Sevigne

Here's the new spring "muse" collection from Laini's Ladies. They're in some stores now, and will be in more soon. Hope you enjoy them! There will be such fun things as notecards and fans very soon too. All will available here. Cheers!

The Coffee Fairy
"The voodoo priest and all his powders were nothing compared to espresso, cappuccino, and mocha."
- Mark Helprin

The Muse of Knitting
"In the rhythm of knitting needles, there is music for the soul."
- unknown

The Muse of Writing
"I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions."
- James Michener

The Diet Goddess
"Our bodies are our gardens, for which our wills are gardeners."
- Shakespeare

The Long-Life Fairy
"Many beautiful years"

Hi Laini -
I have been reading your blog for a few months now - and loving it - but just today realized you have an online shop. I'm not very observant, apparently. But I can't wait until your spring muses are available. They are gorgeous!

I love the Chocolate Muse. She said having just eaten a chocolate bar with almonds, both of which are good for my heart.

Brilliant! I love the browns and blues of the chocolate lady. I love that combo, always. And the diet lady is super beautiful, I think.

But then, they are all beautiful! Those are just my favs.

I told you that I saw these in one of our Hallmark stores awhile back. Then I went to "Stitchin' Sisters" yarn shop and they had them hanging all over the store as a display. They looked very nice. I already see three of the new fairies to buy for gifts.

Ooooo I want them all!
You are too cool Laini. I think you should start a line called "Laini's Editors."
Your first one could look like Tim! What would he be the Muse of?
Sidecars?

Hmmm, I think some more Laini's Ladies will be making the long journey to New Zealand and Afghanistan - I love the Muse of Knitting and know just the woman to be inspired by her. I myself am suddenly convinced that I need three new muses, of chocolate, coffee and writing - my what a life I could lead if I let myself simply be lead by their inspirations.

PS: I love your list of things for which to be grateful (a great strategy for getting through the tax). I am everyday grateful that I can leave this beautiful and tragic country and return to my lucky homeland, free of drought, tyranny, insurgency, warlords, and land mines.

If nothing else this experience has renewed my sense of extraordinary (and completely unearned) good fortune at having been born in the place and time in which I was born.

Beautiful! What are they made of? Will they melt at 890 degrees farenheit? If not and if Bottman ships to hell, I'm definitely getting some for my new place down here. I'm going to order one for Slobodan too.

I love them all - even the coffee one, though I'm not much of a coffee drinker (unless it's Irish, heehee), but I can think of some coffee drinkers that would love it - can I put in a request for a future "Muse of Tea?" The Chocolate and Longlife Muses are my favorites here, though they're all beautiful!
Hope you're having a happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Muse of Chocolate reminds me of my wife. Even before I met her, I'd been attracted to dark-haired, brown-eyed women. And I've been hooked on dark chocolate since childhood. I guess the Muse of Chocolate has power over me.
