I love this video someone sent it to us after they saw a stop motion video we made for a contest. Cassandra Clare was holding a contest for an ARC for City of Glass so we made this (spoilers) http://www.youtube.com/user/mamamiamamamia00#p/u/3/rVx6QMNal0I It is hard work making a stop motion but it paid off we did get an ARC.
Hi Connie Onnie! I'm reading City of Ashes RIGHT NOW (love it!) so I'll wait to watch your video after I've finished the series, but how fun! Yeah, I kept thinking, watching this video: so much work! But not like drawn animation. It seems actually possible to do. Maybe someday I'll try something.
How crazy it that you are reading City of Ashes right now? Well it is not full of spoilers just the title of the song, which you found out in City of Bones. It is just a silly video we made a couple days before the contest ended. But my sister who is Clary in the video did a lot of bending so she was sore for a few days.
hee hee, Julie, I have to confess your blog is where I found this to begin with, when my google alert led me to your WONDERFUL REVIEW!! Thank you! Your blog is really fun. I must have gotten pulled away (or gotten shy maybe?) before leaving a comment :-)
Ha! My day has just been made. That is too funny! I'll have to put up a review of Blackbringer, too, once I finish it. So far, it's an absolute blast. I keep making notes on things I absolutely love. I plan to do nothing else tomorrow but get lost in it. :) Thanks for the nice words!
I'm a writer & artist. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband Jim (also an artist) and our small daughter, Clementine Pie. My novels are Dreamdark: Blackbringer, Dreamdark: Silksinger, and Lips Touch, which was a finalist for the 2009 National Book Award. My next novel, Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Little, Brown) will be out September 27, 2011. I believe our dreams are REAL THINGS, not wisps and air, and it is our job in this life to make them come true, because no one else will do it for us, and because this is our one and only "wild & precious life"!

Wow this was fantastic and it fit the music so well. What a great way to start my morning online. Thanks!

Thanks, Laini! I loved the video and the music.
I love it, but I can't help but think, "that's one patient woman."
here's a whole post full. The first one is my personal favorite.
you might find a review of Lips Touch somewhere on there, too.
