It's not what you think. . .

Look at this awesome curtain trim I found yesterday at the fabric store! My mom and I made these kitchen curtains a few years ago, and there was one (on the door window) that I measured wrong and it's always been too short. I've meant to put some trim on the bottom, and now finally, with the sewing machine artistry of my craft-goddess friend Chary, it is done! Yay!

And. . . what? What's up with all the felt? What?
No, no. I told you, I don't have time to make that felt garland I blogged about two posts back. I just don't have the time. But, see, I was at the fabric store and I don't get out there that often, so I thought I may as well buy some felt, and you know, embroidery thread. But I'm not going to make that garland now. . . Hmm?
What, that circle? Oh, that. I was just testing it, you know, to see how easy it was. (And by the way, it was very easy.) But I'm not going to make it now. I just can't.
Oh, those? No, you've got the wrong idea. I was on the phone with my mom, see, and I had to keep my hands busy. That's all. I'm not going to make the garland now. I swear. Too much to do!
Heh heh. Really.

Truly.

This all sounds very, very suspicious. I have just sent my dear friend, Coolidge Buckelbitty, to pick up all of these craft purchases from your house. I am not going to allow you to get detracted from the only thing your mind should be focused on right now, and that is little tiny baby buggies for all those cockroaches in your kitchen. Shame on you

Ooh, I loved the colors you picked for your felt garland that you absolutely are not going to make. And that trim puts me in the mood for pie, like, big time.

Don't do it, Laini! Think of the poor books, crying to be read...or at least get one of those book holder things and sew while you read. Or have your husband read out loud to you.

We believe you. Truly, we do. We believe you about as much as you believe yourself. :)

Lies!

Good thing we love you, Laini, and would never condemn you for such an act! ;) Sounds like the sort of thing I would do, actually

Hmmm.

That lone felt circle looks so forlorn! It is saying, "Laini! Attach my multicolored brothers and sisters to me with orange embroidery floss!"

Oh it will be wonderful!

Nice curtains!

And I, too, don't think you should be distracted by felt garlands from the one thing you should be doing right now which is dipping stuff in chocolate.

Ha!

I saw some lovely felt today but couldn't see the embroidery floss and didn't have time to look. I'll have to pick it up next time I'm in the store though. Your colors look like fun.

Love your curtains!

Slippery slope, Laini! Slippery slope! :D
