A Delightful Return to Napping

More of the delights of summer. And these, unlike the anonymous watermelon photo from my last post, were actually, delightfully, consumed by us. Those snap peas were the paragon of snap peas. Yum! In other summer news, the heatwave has broken, thank GOD. I'll have my nap back today! How I've missed it.

No big news today, or inspiring words, or kooky stories about curses (though I'm about to go work on it and hopefully finish it). Today I just want to encourage you to visit this site and watch the video; also, read the little bio. This guy's name is Matt and he has done his dorky, endearing dance in some of the great places of the world. It brought such a smile to my face! And it makes me drool to travel. Sigh. Is anyone planning any wonderful exotic trips anytime soon?

Ooh -- also: our contractor "broke ground" on the soon-to-be writing room yesterday! Broke ceiling, I suppose you would say. It's going to be such a great room. I can't wait to get in there with paint, and to go shopping for curtains and such! I've also been mosaicing a thrift store table to go beside my awesome green bench. I love to mosaic. I told Jim I'm going to give up everything else, illustration, writing, everything, and devote myself to mosaics. (just kidding)

Oh that all looks so yummy! Farmers market good.

I love mosaic. Did you see my sugar bowl from a few days ago? I tried to paint it to look like mosaic...I don't know how well it worked, LOL! Show us when your done?

Yum! Your blog has been making me hungry lately!
Thanks for the cool link - it would be fun to see this one & Keri Smith's husband's dance video back to back at a film festival (I don't have the link at hand, but Marilyn blogged on his video a couple of days ago).
Glad you're able to nap again!

Yum - those eatin's look good on your table!

Yes - so glad the heat spell has been broken. It feels good to be able to get back outside without fearing heatstroke!

We did a remodel of our house two years ago - added 700sf. Be patient with the mess that is to come, it will all be worth it in the end! :)

The vegies look yummy. I've been eating lots and lots of watermelon this week. R doesn't like it...so more for me. :)I checked out the video web site and got a good giggle. It really is endearing. And Happy Ceiling Breaking! Woohoo! And mosaic too, holy cow.

That Matt video was just too fun. I wonder if I could get someone to sponsor me to go around the world and sing badly in a bunch of different countries on camera? Hhhmmm...

No exotic trips here (dammit). We're headed to the Smokies for a few days later this summer, but that's hardly exotic.

Fabulous-looking produce - just like I see at the market here. Congrats on beginning the writing room work - it won't be long until you're firmly ensconced, along with your beautiful green furniture - and spinning even more lovely tales for us to enjoy. I will come back and check out the links later- just back this afternoon and lots to catch up on! :)

Can I come over for dinner? :)

I just bought some produce from a farmer's market so I'm looking forward to tasting summer's finest.

And good luck with the room. I hate how disruptive home improvements can be but the finished product makes it all worth it.
