YAY! That was one of the greatest things about having my kids: reading to them, introducing them to books, helping them learn to read, encouraging the book fever!
These pictures will make me smile all day. She looks so delighted! I loved and still love reading to my kids...and they are still delighted, as I am sure Clementine will be too.
I have the most beautiful goddaughter/mini-bookmuffin in the whole world! Could she be any sweeter? Miss Clementine Pie looks to be already sold on books-yay! And the photos are wonderful, btw F.P.- I mean, the quality too...are you doing something new you learned from the class? I'm curious. After the event tomorrow, I will allow you to take ten modeling photos of me so you can sharpen up your new skills (but no more than ten unless you want to pay).
Oh, and helloooooo- you have been compared now- on Booklist no less-to Neil Gaiman! ( : That is cause for some major celebration. of course your writing, in my opinion, is even better but hes pretty good too! ( :
Oh these pictures are great. I am about 3/4 of the way through Silksinger and I am really enjoying it. I hope you are working on the next story. I imagine our magpie will continue to have more adventures, Kate
I'm a writer & artist. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband Jim (also an artist) and our small daughter, Clementine Pie. My novels are Dreamdark: Blackbringer, Dreamdark: Silksinger, and Lips Touch, which was a finalist for the 2009 National Book Award. My next novel, Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Little, Brown) will be out September 27, 2011. I believe our dreams are REAL THINGS, not wisps and air, and it is our job in this life to make them come true, because no one else will do it for us, and because this is our one and only "wild & precious life"!

That's darling. Does she like "Moo, Baa, La La La" yet? It was my kiddos first favorite.

Thanks for the sunshine today.
Cuteness.
I like her little fist in the third picture, practically like she's shaking it in delight.
(Someone's a red head like daddy!)
Adorable! I love that she seems to really be enjoying the book! :D
Simply adorable. These photos would be great accompanying an article about how it's never too early to start reading to your child.
So cute.

Awww. My son has loved books since he was a baby too! But my little girl doesn't seem to be as interested, sniff. Hopefully she'll come around.
Those are amazing pictures, Laini! So beautiful. This is for sure my favorite blog post of the week.
Wow. They always say babies are laughing at a.) gas or b.) angels; in this case, I'm pretty sure it's ...actually the book.
So, you've already got her paid up and joined in MENSA, right?
I think Goodnight Moon was my first favorite book. =)

I am trying to find a new way to say "HOLY CRAP that's one cute kid" but I couldn't think of one :)
Already engaged in and enjoying books! I love her facial expressions, especially in that last photo.

If a picture says a 1000 words than this post has about 3000 words. Priceless, Laini.
Clementine, you have a world of pleasure ahead of you! And how nice of you to share your book with Daddy.
