Oh yes, the waiting game. My Pan jumps up, eyes bulging, whenever I so much as hiccup. I tell him to relax, that the most certain thing here is that the baby will arrive, and that when he does, we'll be fine. But until then, we should be snoozing in the afternoon, cuddling, eating candies and berries, watching mindless tv, hugging the cats, try to be bored - all the stuff we won't have time for later.
I remember being 9 months pregnant during a very hot August. What a l-o-n-g month. But now, almost 23 years later, all that I can recall is nothing short of wonderful. Blessings and best wishes! :-)
I'm a writer & artist. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband Jim (also an artist) and our small daughter, Clementine Pie. My novels are Dreamdark: Blackbringer, Dreamdark: Silksinger, and Lips Touch, which was a finalist for the 2009 National Book Award. My next novel, Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Little, Brown) will be out September 27, 2011. I believe our dreams are REAL THINGS, not wisps and air, and it is our job in this life to make them come true, because no one else will do it for us, and because this is our one and only "wild & precious life"!

Eloquent pictures and quote from "Charlotte's Web"! It will happen! It will happen!
I love it.
What a great picture with the moon and all -- it captures the whole circle of life, fullness of time thing. :)
