Ashland weekend

We got home last night from the quick trip to Ashland I mentioned in my last post, where I was invited to participate in the holiday open house for a wonderful store that sells Laini's Ladies. The event was beautiful -- the store really is magic, three stories of gifty goodness, and it was sunny and lovely, and nice to get away for a few days and eat some yummy things and do some Christmas shopping. My parents came down with us and we all stayed at the fabulous Winchester Inn, where the beds are big and comfy and really high off the ground so you need a stepping stool! There were flowers waiting for me in the room, thanks to the folks at Paddington Station, and that really started things off well (that and the chocolate-covered strawberries!) I'd love to say more, but I'd better get caught up on some work!

Welcome home Monkeybones! I missed you and am glad you had a great time! I love the photos and they make me want to go visit Ashland very, very soon. I had hoped to sew you some gouchos for your first celeb appearance but with Michaelangelo in the bunkers we were quite occupied.

I love the way they have your ladies displayed--magic branches, oh my! It makes the one lady I have look lonely...maybe she needs a friend.

Hey! I use to shop at that store every time I went to Ashland! I missed that it was THAT store, in your last post, somehow. Very cool. Small world.

Oh, I love Ashland. What a wonderful weekend you had. I found your ladies in a local bookstore this afternoon and treated myself. It was all I could do to keep myself from jumping up and down and pointing them out to everyone in the store. :0

Yes, Claudia! I'm so used to my beautiful bag I forgot to mention it -- I wish the whole thing was in the picture. I get so many compliments on it!

What gorgeous pics - they make me want to hop a plane to the other coast. And I'm glad to see that Lincoln will be getting a new head soon :)

Sounds like a beautiful time. What wonderful pictures! The Abraham Lincoln thing cracks me up. I wonder if I should raise money for a new head?

Congratulations on your continuing and growing success, Laini!

This really makes me wonder what happened to poor Abe. I never thought of him as the type to lose his head. I hope he gets his new head in time for his birthday.

What a fun weekend! Love the display of your ladies flitting about.
I'm so thankful I have one of them, I'm going to have to go see if they've gotten any of your new ones in.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great time with Laini, Jim and her parents at our Annual Holiday Open House. Can't wait until the release of your book so we can host a book signing here at Paddington Station. (and maybe a fabulous dinner party as it won't be as crazy as Satuday was). Thank you soooooooo much for making the evening magical!!!!!

How much fun! The pictures are gorgeous, as are your ladies! Shouldn't you be selling them in Paris? :)
